Be Management System

Overview

Be Management System (BMS) is the operating system of an apartment management company. Building staff, finance teams, and management use it every day to manage units and tenants, bill utilities, run contracts, and close the books.

The challenge

Each building ran its own spreadsheets. Water and electricity readings were typed in by hand, invoices were assembled one by one, and the finance team needed about a week every month to reconcile and produce reports. Errors in a single meter reading rippled into tenant complaints and late payments.

What I built

• Utility billing, end to end — meter readings for water and electricity, tariff calculation, invoice generation, and payment collection through the Xendit gateway, with automatic status updates when a payment lands.
• Finance & accounting — chart of accounts, journals, and automated reports: General Ledger, Trial Balance, and Profit & Loss generated from posted transactions instead of spreadsheets.
• Operations modules — master data, contract & rental, operational package management, facility reservation, and visitor management.
• APIs and data model — secure REST APIs on Express.js and MongoDB, designed so every financial figure can be traced back to its source documents.

I joined on the frontend (Angular), building feature modules, form validation, and API integration, then moved to full stack and took part in staging and production deployments on AWS.

Results

• More than 2,000 invoices are generated and processed every month without manual assembly.
• The monthly financial recap dropped from one week to 1–2 hours.
• One platform now serves 10+ buildings and 2,000+ units.
